Designing some additional socket bars based on the design I’ve had in my drawer for a while now for my scattered 1/4” sockets. So as a start I was going to just make a couple for 3/8” and 1/2” drive sockets.

For the 1/2” drive, shown above, I’ve gone with a thicker 1.75mm thick web on the flexures (the 1/4” drive used 1mm thick flexures). I’ve only designed for about 1mm of ‘interference’ motion in the flexures, so I’m not sure this will have the holding force desired for these larger sockets, but we shall see!
